You Need To Know. The Choice Is Yours.

How to Keep Your Debit/ATM Card Overdraft Access Coverage

A new regulation requires us to make some changes to services on checking accounts with debit/ATM cards. If you are a checking account customer with a debit/ATM card, effective August 15, 2010,* the everyday purchases you make with your debit card and your ATM transactions will no longer be covered by our Overdraft Access® service. If you do not have enough money in your account or the funds are not yet available, your transaction will be denied.

If you want to continue to have this valuable safety net in case of an emergency, you must let us know you want this service or you will lose this flexibility. Watch your mailbox as more information will be arriving soon about this valuable service.

Please take the time to consider the ways you use your checking account and debit/ATM card and make the choice that is right for you.

Overdraft Access is a convenient service that provides you and your family with financial flexibility in times when you may not have sufficient funds in your account.

Everyday debit card transactions include purchases at:

• Grocery Stores
• Restaurants
• Gas Stations
• Doctor's Offices
• Pharmacies
• Dry Cleaners
• Anytime you use your debit card for a one-time transaction

The choice is always yours. We are here to answer your questions.

For more information or if you want us to authorize and pay overdrafts on ATM and everyday debit card transactions, visit your neighborhood AnchorBank or call us at 1-800-25 ANCHOR (252-6246).

*We will not authorize and pay overdrafts on ATM and everyday debit card transactions without account holder consent. An overdraft/non-sufficient funds (NSF) charge of $31.00 (per item) will be charged for covering overdrafts that result in a negative balance at the end of the day. Overdrafts may be created by check, ACH or in office withdrawals. Recurring debit card transactions (payments that are set up to bill and pay automatically), such as an automatic draft from your health club or insurance company, may continue to be covered by your Overdraft Access. Once an overdraft has occurred you are required to bring your account to a positive end-of-day balance at least once every 20 business days. We reserve the right not to pay if your account is not in good standing.
