At AnchorBank, we’re always looking for new and better ways to serve our customers. That's why we offer the Overdraft Access® program for checking accounts with limits that are based on your checking account type. Assuming your checking account is in good standing, the Overdraft Access privilege is generally available 45 days after the account is opened.

As always, we encourage you to manage your finances responsibly. However, as long as you maintain your checking account in good standing, Overdraft Access may:

  • Provide you with a safety net that can protect you if you overdraw your account.
  • Save you the unnecessary embarrassment (and additional charges) associated with having a check returned to a merchant.

Overdraft Access is a non-contractual courtesy and requires no action on your part. You do not have to sign anything and there are no fees, other than the overdraft/NSF charge of $29.50 for each item overdrawn. You will be charged our overdraft/NSF charge of $29.50 for each item created by check, in-person withdrawals, ATM withdrawals or other electronic means paid under the limit. All negative balances must be brought positive within 20 business days. The overdraft privilege limit will not be reflected in your balance provided by a teller, at the ATM or through online banking or telephone banking. AnchorBank reserves the right not to pay if your account is not kept in good standing. Please contact us for more details.

We will notify you if an overdraft occurs. You should not use Overdraft Access as a line of credit or as a regular source of funds. It is a service for which you are charged our overdraft/NSF charge of $29.50 per item. To help you manage your account, the total charges you have paid for NSF items (both paid and returned) during the current month and for the year to date will be reflected on your monthly checking statement in accordance with federal regulations.

For additional information, please read our overdraft policy.
